ADM Saddle adapter for CG5

Hi guys,

Thought I'd do a review for anyone interested, I ordered two weeks ago a 3" losmandy and Vixen dovetail saddle adapter for my celestron CG5 mount. It arrived today so I took a few photos while I carried out the fitting. The adapter block and clamp assembly are beautifully crafted from solid stock aluminium and fit all the mounting holes perfectly. The fitting procedure was very straight forward although it did show up a badly done DIY part replacement which was not mentioned by the seller when I asked about the history of the mount.

My main scope is on a 3" bar for a bigger mount but I wanted to able to easily switch to the CG5 for portability when travelling to sites away from home. As an upgrade I think it was well worth while, the clamp holds the dovetails of either size much more solidly than the original.
