Just observed the sun in white light. There was not a blemish to be seen. The sun has shown a blank face for so long now that I can't remember the last time I observed some spots.

Hi Paul. I observed not a single sunspot on 2nd July before totality occurred on Argentina.
One of the members of the IAS saw one sunspot on the 10th May.
Let's hope this does not mean we are going to have an avalanche of heavy snow before 2019 is out! Or early 2020 for that matter!
