That comet again..has C faded? was created by ftodonoghue
I must say that i am thoroughly enjoying observing this comet and reading others reports. I was out again tonight. What struck me tonight was how faint C was. I know there was a moon in the sky and I am in suburbia but it looked really dim. I put it out of focus and reckoned it was about mag 7-7.5. This is my first time trying to estimate magnitude so I could be miles off. Anybody else have any observations on its magnitude from tonight
Cheers

Will have a better idea tomorrow. I'm out imaging this as we speak! It does look fainter than I recall, but boy is it moving!!!

I was out looking for the comet last night and had no luck. I'm living in Dublin city though, and all I have at my disposal are a pair of 10x50 binoculars. (There is a pair of 16x50s in the house too, but they are seeing double and don't have a thread which could be used to attach to a tripod.)
I estimate the naked eye limit is about mag +3 from my back garden. I did see M13 last night but it was just on the limit of visibility for my binoculars.
So am I being overly ambitious in looking for this comet do you think?
Dwane.
