Just had a look at the link where you found the image. It is a German website, it is indeed an artist impression of Pluto.
I wonder now as well.... do they have to update all school science books now ?

I guess New Horizons is carrying my name on a multi- million dollar mission to fly- by a vertically challenged minor planet.
The cert still says planet
Thank you for joining the first mission to the last planet! A compact disc bearing your name will be included on the New Horizons spacecraft, set for the first voyage to a new class of planets on the solar system's farthest frontier.
"New class of planets" eh?

Take heart Deirdre, Pluto, whilst now defined as a Dwarf Planet, has been elevated to the status of a 'prototype' of a new category (name to be determined).
Dave
To be PC and literal that would be be "A Wanderer of Diminished Stature"

I know Armagh have no intention of altering their new planatary display by removing pluto...
Well, er, I think someone may have done that for them. I was up there last weekend with a few of the SAC members. I'm afraid to say that Pluto apears to have been removed from their solar system display in their park. Rumours of Pluto's contact with a boot have surfaced!

As "planet" is the latin for "wondering star"
does anyone know the latin for "A Wanderer of Diminished Stature"
Planet is from the Greek iirc, but something like 'planet miniatus statua' will do in Latin. PMS? hmmm...
