PPPS. Peter, I have located the following online dictionary - www.ldonline.org/_glossary - and please look at the series of words they present: dysgraphia (Greek grapho = I write), dyslexia (Greek lexi = word), dysnomia, dyspraxia (Greek praxi = act/action/deed/task) and the associated descriptions they provide for them and the root words in Greek I provide above.

I will leave it up to you to confirm the associated Latin words which will confirm the above list of words do indeed have a Greek origin.

I think I am beginning to get a picture of what is going on.

When doctors "name" a disease they invent a latin name for it.
Thus we have "Dyslexia" = "bad writing".
That is probably how the medical name "Dysnomia" was invented.

The Greek word Dysnomia has a completely different origin, as you pointed out Anthony.

Incidentally, we Irish call ourselves by the Greek name "Celts" because that is what the Heroditus the Greek called the Ancient Gauls (Keltoi).
