Solar Activity 01/10/06 was created by TrevorDurity
A mosaic of 3 images for the disc and 3 for the small prominences today. Gaps in the clouds only gave time to catch some of the disc but at least it captured the most active area, showing a medium sized sunspot AR913 and a tiny one AR914 to it's upper left.
Man, it was difficult to merge these together!
Neximage + 2x barlow + PST.
Cheers,
Trev

Some nice flares there Trev,
Is it possible to say get 100+ frames of the area around the best flare and stack them in registax, have you tried this yet?

Nice image
I was hoping to get a glimpse myself of the Sun this weekend as there were some promising events going on ... but alas, the sky was very, very grey and wet from the NW of Dublin .

Cheers all. Unfortunately I completely overexposed the prominence AVIs so there was alot of tinkering around there.
Pity we didn't get to see it on the Saturday. There seemed to be alot of activity then.
