Very nice footage on the BBC site
Footage shows what appears to be a meteor streaking across the night sky in southern Sweden on Saturday.
Emergency services were bombarded with calls from mystified observers who witnessed the huge ball of light travelling across the sky.

That's one awesome sight! Is it just me or does there seem to be a heightened capture of fireballs in the last couple of years?

Possibly due to more and better CCTV camera's in use?

Yeah, I was thinking that too, the amount of cameras in the world to 'spot' these kind of events at random must be pretty high compared to even a decade ago.Possibly due to more and better CCTV camera's in use?
