I am looking for a chart or map showing the positions of the Jovian satellites over a period of a month, perhaps for February and March etc.
Astronomy Now magazine used to have it, and I think Sky and Telescope magazine (don't know if they have now), and I can't find what I am looking for on the internet...
Any pointers?

hi Seanie,
there should be a few shareware/freeware programs on the IFAS CD that can show the path of the moons.

Seanie. I wrote a piece of software a while back which amonst other things does exactly that.
Heres a screenshot;
Now I never finished the software. Thats why I cant send it to you right now.
I can run off a few more of these images if thats what you need.
Once the software is finished you are welcome to a copy. The program will be an almanac type program. I even have stuff in there to do a jupiter animation, orientation of saturns rings, basic star maps and lots more stuff too.
I suppose I better get the finger out.
Dave.
