Large prom on the Sun this morning.
One of the biggest and brightest I have seen in quite some time.
I'm imaging it now.

Excellent images - very dynamic. The negative image is particular interesting - a look of 3-d about it.

Having been out of the loop for a while, has the sun's activity increased significantly or is it still very quiet?

Like yourself Dave, I've been busy the last few months and only getting back to astronomy again in the past week. With the summer we had, it wasnt the most favourable for solar imaging anyway. The sun is near the peak of cycle 24 right now.
