Fab images there Michael, especially the white light ones done with the Herschel wedge. Do you find you get better images with this as opposed to useing a "normal" white light filter ?
Also, could you see the Cal K details as well as the camera.?

The granulation does seem sharper and clearer IMHO.
Then again, it would want to for the price of it.
I should say, the wedge had a ND3 filter and solar continuum filter in it at the time of imaging.
They are installed in the wedge as standard, although they can be removed if you want.
As for CaK - I can see the same level of detail visually as is in the photo.
The image is a little dim so I generally use a dark cloth over my head to shield my eyes.
Note that the visual aspects of CaK observing vary significantly from person to person.
Some people will not see anything other than a very very dim purple disc with no detail.
Definetly try before you buy if your main interest is visual.
Then again, it would want to for the price of it.
