I tried a full disc mosaic this evening except at a higher resolution than yesterday's effort.
Much happier with this one.
Mosaic still isn't perfect, but it's better than yesterday's effort.
Went a different route with the background illumination also.

Image taken with: DMK21, Coronado SM90 filter and BF15, TEC140.
Image processed in Autostakkert and Photoshop.

Michael - that is a truly stunning image. I even had to quickly leave the study to go get some factor 20 sunscreen - it was so real.
I'm not sure what you mean about the mosaic being imperfect - I can't see any misjoins.
There is another fella I see solar images from me which are extremely impressive (Alan Friedman - avertedimagination.com/main1.htm ). Your image is of that calibre.
Simply stunning - well done.

Thanks lads.
When you spend a long time processing an image, the eyes can go a bit square....
I think I've a bit to go before I get to Alan Friedman's level.
The work he produces is in a different league altogether.
Something to aspire to though.

You're too modest Michael - at worst, its a very small step for you. At best, you're already there.
Your image above is definately in the Friedman league.

Michael,
I hate to admit it but that is a GREAT image.
Out of curiosity, have you looked into using a CCD camera in conjunction with your set-up? My only possible concern is the BF15 for two reasons: (1) small(er) field of view and (2) the diagonal would seem no match for a heavy CCD camera.
I have a sneaky suspicion results via a CCD camera would take such a result one level higher.
Anthony.
