Measuring light pollution was created by albertw
Hi,
Now that the evenings are getting dark again it would be great if people could help measure light pollution around the country.
To help there is a nice app for Android and iphone at lossofthenight.blogspot.de/2015/01/brief...ss-of-night-app.html that will guide you through taking an estimate of the light pollution where you are and can also accept SQM readings for those of you with SQM's.
The more measurements the better!
Thanks,
~Al

Great idea Al, thanks for posting.
I was thinking of buying a good meter for this purpose, one that is PC connected / controlled / data upload etc) with little to no maintenance, possibly mounted on the roof where the meteor cameras are currently fixed, what meter would you recommend Al? Don’t mind spending some money on this because I think it’s important but unsure what exact meter to purchase.
Best wishes and clear skies
Mike
