ILPAC is go!

Hi,

Just to let you know that the Irish Light Pollution Awareness Campaign has been started!

The webpage will be www.irishastronomy.org/ilpac and should have something up soon.

I'm waiting to hear back from the IDA about becoming a formal section.

For the moment the discussion is taking place on groups.yahoo.com/group/ilpac , though that will move here in time.

The acting committee is:

Please send feedback with any changes, corrections, updates, or additional information. Please reply and confirm, even if only to say that all of the Irish information is correct.

Note that the new version of the page hides all email addresses using javascript, so that they cannot be harvested by the automated processes that spammers use to collect them.

I think I replied to you personally last week about this. The Irish information is correct, though a better email address would be (ilpac at irishastronomy dot org) . For the new page please do not directly publish email addresses, follow the IDA section site example instead. Also please do not refer to ILPAC as IDA Ireland, in this country IDA Ireland means something completely different, www.ida.ie . Although we are a formal section we continue to use the name ILPAC which was the groups name before affiliation to the IDA.

The email addresses are written from code fragmants using javascript. They cannot be harvested. Try "View Source" on the new temporary page.

Noted about what is right and wrong. I'll see what I can do about the title.
