Saturday, 28 March, 2009:
Take your final star counts of Orion's Belt and submit them toGLOBE at Night (deadline for submittal is 7 April).
Then participate in Earth Hour by turning off the unnecessary lights around your home and office between 8:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Enjoy one hour of energy reduction as over 2,800 cities around the world darken their buildings and landmarks in a symbolic gesture to raise awareness about climate change.
GLOBE at Night and Earth Hour are great opportunities to raise awareness about light pollution as well. Check out the IDA Web site for brochures, activities, and the latest information on light pollution.
