Mahon Falls - any good?

Hi all
Just wondered if anyone uses the car park at the Mahon Falls in Waterford as a dark site, or does it be full of drinkers or "lurvers"

Hi Barry, I have been wondering about this myself as I have been there during the day quite a few times, at night though I don't know what it is like. Sorry I don't have the answer, maybe some could let us know?

I would be interested in trying it some night. Only thing to remember is that it gets quite cold up there. As you say it's amazing where you can find them Luvers.

Romantic types in vehicles

Can be very windy up there as we did an observing night there many moons ago but twas nice & dark. The 'quiet' end of Clonea Beach can be a good spot too BUT the hotel lights (even though they're at the far end of the beach) can be very intrusive.
