In the April edition of Astronomy Now there is an article about the twin pair of Hansteen crater and Mons Hansteen, one of only a handful of such pairings. They are located in the Oceanus Procellarum and close to the crater Billy. Easily visible tonight, the crater has some nice details within the crater walls, a central peak and some ridges. The Mons Hansteen is a low hilly area to the east, sitting above Billy, the low slanting sunlight makes it easier to spot, it does not appear to be rising high above the lunar landscape, the material a little lighter than the surrounding terrain. Billy itself is a dark, blank canvas.
Spent an enjoyable hour touring the rim of the moon, lots of details to be seen, even as the moon approaches full.
