Pluto! was created by Fermidox
On Saturday night I took a 40-sec image with a DSLR attached to the prime focus of a Nexstar SE8. There was a mag 14 object 10 arc-minutes from Albaldah in Sagittarius. The following night was miraculously clear again, I repeated the procedure and.... Pluto had moved!! The images are a bit low-quality to post here but I'm still pretty chuffed to have tracked down the elusive little [strike]planet[/strike] [strike]dwarf[/strike] KBO

Ah ha you see it can be done, why don't you challenge yourself to get a little composite shot of Pluto moving against the starry background over the next few weeks?

Well done !

Keith..

Nice idea Keith; I was surprised by how obvious the movement was even over consecutive nights, some 85 arc-seconds.

Congratulations Finbarr!

I am delighted for you in observing Pluto.

Maybe it is another reason to rename it a planet!!

Well done anyway.

Aubrey.
