Pete Lawrence from the Sky at Night has taken some good pics of 45P from Selsey, England.

Hi Fermidox.
I am delighted to see your image of Comet Honda -Mrkos -Pajdusakova.
Many congratulations for it. It's a real winner!
I completely agree with your magnitude reading.
Maybe I shall see it when it enters Aquila the Eagle.
I was observing on Thursday night for 3.5 hours splitting loads of doubles and triples.
I was also greatly admiring 5 carbon stars.
Must do a report eventually.
Clear skies,
Aubrey.

45P will be starting to fade in February, but will be visible again. At the start of the month, it is in Aquila before reaching Hercules and Corona Borealis by mid-month. It then heads into Bootes and Coma Berencies in the 2nd half of Feb.

I reckon this comet is all about altitude.
That is to say -how high its position above the horizon it actually is.
Magnitude definitely matters also.
If it is too faint, we will see it only for a limited period.
Clear (western) skies.
Aubrey.

Good Evening.
I also caught it on DSLR but unfortunately didn't have any tracking but took a few 3 second exposures and stacked them and cropped the image.
Although the comet will be higher each night it's going to be tricky with it getting brighter and the moon out.
Even on short exposures a tail is starting to show so hopefully some longer ones we will see some detail.
