Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

I was out with the binoculars last night, searching for doubles when I wandered into Cepheus. Strangely, this is a constellation that I had never visited before and I did not realise that it is a rich part of the sky, especially in the region of delta and zeta, a bit more sparse up towards the pole. I think a return visit will have to be made.

The Garnet Star (Mu Cephei) is a big favourite of mine, Paul.
On some occasions I can see it perfectly easy with my own eyes.
It is lovely in scopes and binoculars too.
It is an M class star and not a carbon star.
Why not give it a go?
Or anyone else for that matter.
Clear skies,
Aubrey.
