Caught this for the first time yesterday. 27 minutes past midday as predicted, in cloudless skies. Blink and you miss it!

Yes....took me a while to spot it (I was looking at it within an email at first)....but a good capture. I have wanted to try this for some years now....just was never in the right place at the right time :-(

Yep, my setup is fairly basic... just a camcorder with solar filter. But having seen two lunar transits, it's been on my bucket list for a while. (the SS is moving towards the 7oc position for anyone who has trouble spotting it)

Well done Finbarr.

The closest I have come to this is a plane passing in front of the Sun - and I wasn't recording at the time!!

Yes Michael I must have been thwarted 6 or 7 times before, but finally an ISS pass coincides with a heatwave!

Excellent, Finbarr.
I am very happy for you videoing the recent ISS transit going across the Sun.
It was back on a Saturday morning 14 September 2013 when I used image projection to the same event. It was nearly my most favourite observed event of that year only for a certain Total Solar Eclipse whilst we were on an mid Atlantic cruise.
An ISS transit, either across the Moon or Sun, is a very pleasing spectacle.
That is a brilliant movie, Finbarr.
