What a super shot that is of Mercury, Finbarr!
-0.6 magnitude is spot on.
There is a bit of a yellow hue to it.
Mercury appears to be nearer to us than the Sun is judging by its distance you have given us.

That's right Aubrey, its current distance is 0.94 AU. A little known fact is that Mercury, on average, is closer to the Earth than Venus is...
It was quite a lucky break Keith, looking at the forecast there might not be another opportunity before it closes in on the Sun again.
