I Thought I Saw A UFO

Hi all

While observing M15 with my 15x70 binoculars, I was shocked to see a V shaped object rapidly pass through the field of view.  There were brighter areas long both sides, looking like dulled light.  "Flaming heck!" I thought, though I did not say "flaming", but something a little more blue and looked up to see if I could see it with the naked eye.  It was not seen.
When reality kicked in, I realised that it was a flock of birds flying in a V formation.
I will keep the tin foil hat for another day.

I've never seen a flock of birds in my field of view after dark, Paul, with my current scope.
But twice I've seen birds flying high with my own eyes alright.
Scary for sure!
About 2 years I got my scope on a very bright starlike object. Jupiter was shining brightly on the same occasion not too far away in my line of sight.
The very bright starlike object was in fact a weather balloon, and it was slowly moving eastwards.
I had John Flannery on the phone.
He saw it too and was equally excited.

I saw my first Starlink train last night at 8.45. That screamed UFO invasion .
