September 18: Partial Lunar Eclipse.
Delighted to say that Valerie and I saw the Partial Lunar Eclipse at 3.15am for about 5 minutes.
We were so tired as we observed Earth’s shadow up in the north eastern corner of Luna. But it was worth it!
It was our 6th Partial Lunar Eclipse to observe – albeit with our own eyes.
Did anyone else see it?
I'm sure Finbarr was up for it!
Best regards from Aubrey.

Hu Aubrey,
It is so nice to read another observing report of yours. Congratulations on seeing the Partial Lunar Eclipse...and to make effort to get of a nice warm bed at hour is worth an extra 'high-five'
Bravo, and clear skies,
Darren.

I certainly was Aubrey
Not the most spectacular I suppose with just 8% coverage at maximum but not a cloud in the sky, how often can we say that about a set-piece event. Below are 3 photos from 3.23, 3.36 and maximum obscuration at 3.44. Could have done with dropping the exposure a tad more, thought 1/2000 of a sec would suffice. Delighted you and Valerie got to see it, very best wishes.
Finbarr.
