Well of course I'd heard all the reports about fireballs casting shadows, but never seen one... UNTIL NOW!! c.1845 UT 1st Dec 2024, ground lit up in front of me, was temporarily baffled for maybe 2 seconds... looked up and the bolide was passing between Vega and Draco, heading west and snuffing out quite quickly, leaving trail. Magnitude estimate could be doubtful but surely -7. Wow!!
