sketch of comet Pojmanski

good morning!

a "sketch" of the comet that I did this morning appears below. It's actually created in Skymap Pro to get the star field, Ms-Paint to add in the comet, Ms-Publisher to add the comments, Adobe Acrobat to allow me export it as a JPEG, and Irfanview to reverse the colours and resize the image . . . phew!

many thanks to Paul Tipper who convinced me the sky would clear even though it was initially overcast (and brought along the tea too!) Well worth getting up to see this comet which had a greenish tint. Nice to see Jupiter and Venus also along with signs of Summer with Scorpius just above the skyline.

That's a lovely sketch John I'm sure it was a cool sight!
I got up at 4.30 this morning, but was clouded out I was going totry and photograph this comet....

Maybe tomorrow?
