22* Moon Halo + Aurora Watch! was created by martinastro
Hi all
Spotted a nice 22* Halo around the waxing gibbous moon last night from 01.00 until moonset showing very bright blue and red colours. I observed and imaged it from my front garden then walked out to the country for further images. The Aurora activity was good so i waited all night from my choosen country location for a display which never appeared. Seen a nice Irdium flare in northern Cepheus and several nice meteors. This was a deceptively cold night with black ice on the roads at places. All images ISO400/15 sec exp...
A few constellation/country shots...

Yep, a real clear night last night Martin, I got up at 5.30am to just look out the wind (i have the flu :roll: )
It was lovely to see the summer milkyway rising high before dawn...and venus too

It was a real nice night indeed. Hope you get over the flu soon...all best and get well soon. Someone needs to be checking for Novae
