Thats a beauty of a Bow Conor, i love the wide angle shot with both the primary and secondary bow visible and Alexanders dark band in the middle..great shot!
I seen the bow myself but i was in the car at the time and couldnt get an image. It was very bright at the base and i seen what looked to be Mamatus clouds below the arch and between each base. A nice scene.
At close to sunset i seen my very first 'sunset' rainbow extending in a curved vertical line (western section only), the bow itself was almost our red in colour due to the colours of the setting sun..amazing! I have read about this kind of bow before but this is my first real sighting. Got an image but it didnt turn out good. It reminded me of the famous images of the sungrazing comet Ikeya - Seki of 1965..similar profile.
