Finally got to see Jupiter tonight as it should be.
On previous nights I was having a lot of difficulties - I thought there was something wrong with my 'scope - chromatic abberation etc. Tonight for about 30 seconds I got my first 'clear' viewing of the planet. After a lot of waiting and mucking about with focus Jupiter came clear for about 30 seconds before misty cloud rolled back in. In that time I had enough chance to see that the scope wasn't the problem - just patience and seeing. Brief, but beautiful view of Jupiter and four moons, worth waiting for!!

It's good you got to see Jupiter John, but it's low this year...so you will be lucky to see the 2 main belts and the 4 moons...it's all I could see in my C11 too
Keep up the observing

Thank's,
I was beginning to doubt my 'scope (not that experienced don't ya know).
Seem's there's no problem patience and seeing won't overcome.
BTW. Hope you get your horse back soon and that you've sorted out opening up the SPC900

Keep the lens screwed on until you get the adapter and a lens cap.
BTW. I use a product called "Specgrabber" which you should be able to get from any camera shop to 'pick' bits of dirt/debris off the CCD without fear of damaging it.
