venus mercury moon and saturn was created by carlobeirnes
I pulled myself out of my sick bed. I took the 80ed off the scope headed up the road 5 minutes to a clear view north south east and west ,so I set the scope up on top of the car looked south west to see Venus ten more minutes past and mercury popped out 6degrees to the lower right, it was my first time to see mercury it made me a very happy man :D . then I looked to the east a good 30 minutes later the moon was a good 20 degrees above the horizon so around went the scope the seeing was very good there was not a ripple in the moon . I had the 32mm eyepiece in the scope I was surprised that I got a quarter of the moon and Saturn in the same field of view. looking back it was great just going out with a small scope popping it on the car it reminded me of when I got my first telescope there was nothing too complicated a very enjoyable evening, back to my sick bed now  , just thought I would share my couple of hours out with you all.

Just grabbed a quick look in the 20X80's. Its a lovely sight. Even the girlfriend was impressed, Definitely a crowd pleaser. Try and have a look if you can.

Cheers

ah wow. What a lovely site. At 22:30 watching Saturn and a nice portion of the Moon in a 5mm EP. Almost like they were homing in on each other.

Was fun seeing it get closer and closer over the hours.

This is a night I'll remember for a long time!
