Hi folks,
TAS received the following e-mail about another meteor sighting. The following is from that query:
"Hello my name is Chris Kirby and as i was coming home from work tonight saturday 3rd of feb , I saw what i think was a meteor in the sky it was about 20.15 pm and I was coming from Tullamore to Portarlington I was just wondering did anyone else spot this?"
I haven't heard any other sightings around this time. What about the rest of you?
Seanie.

Hi Seanie,
I was on the phone to MRCC (Marine Rescue Coordination Centre) last night and the controller said they were inundated with calls ref. sightings
on Sat night.
Calls were coming in from Carnsore Pt. Wexford to Carlingford, Co Louth, even an airline pilot reported it,at 34000ft it must have been some sight!!!
Surprised it was'nt more widely reported!
Best Regards and Clear Skies.
John.

A guy in work reported this to me.
Lit up the sky very noticeably and then broke up.
Never saw anything like it before.
