Waxing crescent moon was created by lunartic_old
Tonight there is a beautiful waxing crescent moon, it was new on March 19th at 02.45 UT. Venus is an excellent signpost and the Earthshine seen through 25x100 binos is stunning.
I spotted it through the haze of cloud at 18.17, it was 40 hours and 32 minutes old at the time, the youngest I've seen.

I had a look at about X30 in a 90mm and it was stunning, the horns were amazing, particularly the north one, it seemed to go on forever.
here is a pic I took a few mins ago, with a pocket cam
