On September 16 UT at 4h 30m, a 65 km diameter asteroid (638) MOIRA will occult a 8.8 mag star in Taurus, passing through a line from Dublin to Clare with a width of 81km. The combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 6.8 mag to 15.6 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 5.9 seconds.
