Anyone see two bright lights Sunday night? was created by dmcdona
Folks - I got a call from RTE and did a quick spot on the Mooney Show today.
They received a mail from a guy in West Cork who saw a bright light move West to East, then followed by a second one shortly afterwards. This occurred about 21:30 Sunday 8th April.
He described the object as yellow/orange and initially thought it was a flare. He said it was as bright as a star. He thought that it *may* have been a plane but this was unlikely.
I've ruled out meteors (including the Leonids and Fireballs), Iridium Satellites and the ISS. Also, there were no spacecraft launches on the 8th.
Anyone see anything or anyone have any other ideas?
Cheers
Dave

There are a lot of satellites visible again now that we approach summer, many are as bright or brighter than most stars and traveling west to east is a common direction (much easier than east to west)
Observing on Saturday night from 10 on we saw several.
No idea of how long they took to traverse?
