What a beautiful sight tonight. The young moon with the dazzling planet Venus.

and for a larger version.
The clouds were never too far away. This image was taken at about 23:15 and you can just make out the star in Gemini under Venus.

It was a pretty cool sight alright.
They just showed it on the NASCAR coverage during a lull in the race.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Great shot Michael.
I think that small amount of cloud under the moon adds a little touch of mystery.
