Well Frank, that 3 mins equates to about 1500 miles, so getting there by tommorow is no mean feat!
Dave, we only had less clouds than you if you had no gaps at all!
Sunday's forecast is looking good for the Perseid peak mind you.
Clear skies,
Paul.

Again blessed with clearing skies here in south Co Sligo, thought the shuttle would be brighter than the ISS, was great to see both at the same time. Also while looking at the ISS I caught in the corner of my eye a bright earth grazing Perseid meteor just to the left of Jupiter, when i looked around only saw a faint trail, a friend in east Galway also saw the same one slightly higher. Anyone else see it??

At typical shuttle speeds 3 minutes equates to about 675 miles travelled Paul.
If it did 1,500 miles in 3 minutes it would be flung out of Earth's orbit.
