The Geminids of 2007 - Post your observations here

Cloudy tonight and forecast for worse twords dawn.
So much for the Geminids this year.

Spotted a few last night Frank i reckon, 4 of them between 10.30 and 11.

Mostly cloudy down here, though on my way to work c. 23:00hrs, there were some breaks. I don't have to leave the house till a little later tonight, so I might get some observing in this evening (it's a little cloudy out there, but it might clear up a bit).

Fell asleep on the couch last night and at 2am when putting the dog out
There was clear skies (pretty much).
I was only looking up for around a minute when an awesome green fireball
tumble across the sky in a SW direction away from Orion and lasted for about 5 / 6 seconds.

I pulled my (already set up in hope of a clear spell) camera outside and
ran off an hours worth of shots.

I only managed to catch one.
I set up the camera to point at Persius as I was hoping I'd catch one crossing
near Holmes.

All in all I observed 2 fireballs.
(If a fireball is classed as anything brighter than Venus right now)
1 split into 2 and was quite bright.
25 in all in 60 min.
Most were slow but bright. Nearly all seemed to radiate in a southerly direction from Gemini.

We are well past the peak now at 8:30 pm but I'll still keep my eyes peeled later on for gaps in the clouds.

Was just outside for an hour and bagged 27 Geminids and 2 sporadics, from just outside Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

Seeing not fantastic, there seems to be some haze in the air so I was pretty chuffed with seeing that many. Might pop out for another stint later, when my neck stops hurting!
