Hi

This is an SOS to anyone who possibly has a spare autostar cable for a 497 autostar controler that I could possible borrow for this weekend. My old one broke last week and the one I have on order from TH has not arrived as of this morning. Hey its worth a shot as otherwise my scope cant make it :(

Hi

Tried that out. Its just a pain. I know it can be done but it is very tedious.

First unlock the RA lock......move up......lock the RA lock.....unlock the DEC lock....move across....lock it again.....look in the eyepiece.....darn the target has moved......unlock the ra lock .....move up ...etc.........

Remember its at f10 so FOV is quite small.......Definately cant be pointed like a Dob in a practicle way unless you plan on spending all night recentering, repointing, locking and unlocking things but not actually looking at things. :(
