Well, last night was my second run-out with the new Dob. I had ironed out some of the problems experienced the first night (only having purchased the scope last saturday) The viewfinder was well aligned. and i came to grips with the altitude controls
First target (everyones favorite and mine) M42 - however did notice the full extent of it despite the moon spoiling the show, but also noticed how there is open space around the trapezium (or so it seemed)
next target was M31 but this was almost a white out due to moon
Mars was a little disapointing due to moon and relative size now
Saturn on its side and rings closed still amazing, BTW most observation done with 15mm and Barlow x2 (approximately 168X mag)
finally...oK moon ok....i sees ya...."so I Looked" wow wow wow
