Delgany Brownie Pack meet the moon
Delgany Brownie Pack check out cool craters up close in the dark
Delgany Brownie Pack got an eyeful of the moon on Tuesday evening.
Twenty five of them and their leaders checked out an unusually clear almost six day moon.
Just had to take advantage of the great weather this week .
We looked at Theophilus, Cyrillus and Catharine as that triplet was striking close to the terminator. They learned a little about the highlands, maria, craters and mountains on the moon.
I also pointed out the landing place of Apollo 11 as Tranquillitatis was touchable, the seeing was so good.
The fact we were in a graveyard did not seem to bother them and the resting former humans did not mind a bit.
Dropping in again on a clear Tuesday soon

Hey Deirdre
My daughter was one of them. She had a ball. She's developing a really keen interest in astronomy and has me plagued to get the scope out even on cloudy nights
Nice one
