I was as bright as a really good ISS pass and was heading in approx north/north east direction. It lasted for about 3-4 seconds.
I'm wondering was it part of that satellite that was blown up or was it something else (it looked pretty low compared to normal meteors)

That's why I'm wondering could it have been debris from the sat or now I'm wondering was it a fireball or something even though there was no tail

It would have been around the right time and direction
judging by Heavens Above.
But it really could have been anything also.

At about 8.35pm last night as I was about to change eyepieces something really big and bright (I'm using this description as I'm not sure what it was) streaked across the sky.
I was as bright as a really good ISS pass and was heading in approx north/north east direction. It lasted for about 3-4 seconds.
I'm wondering was it part of that satellite that was blown up or was it something else (it looked pretty low compared to normal meteors)
I think i saw that too - we were out for a walk and as we were on the way home i noticed it. Wonder if it was the same thing? the one i seen was *very* bright - almost a hue of orange.

the real question is "is it satellite debris or a rock", who knows??
