I had my first oppertunity to observe M13 on sunday night - using my 10 inch Dob. first time I was able to resolve individual stars, it was brill. but I think seeing was poor on sunday night, so I am looking forward to darker skies and an even better view. Also had a look at Saturn and a couple of galaxies in Ursa major. Anyway just goes to show, even on a poor night any observing is a challange. For you dedicated few who can stay up till the wee hours of the morning for even darker skies.....I salute you

It's amazing really, when we were out in the Burren on Sunday night I don't think it got really dark until about 00.30, and the sun was well on the way back up by 4am.
M13 is one of those objects you just cant get enough of, be sure to pump up the magnification to fill the field of view with it, its a stunner!
