Binos On Wednesday was created by lunartic_old
Hi all

I could only get out for a short stint on Wednesday night so I took out the 10X50 binos.

Jupiter displayed three moons.
The moon was beautiful, as always.
I scouted around and got the usual suspects, M31, M13, M15, the Double Cluster, The Coathanger, of which I got a sketch, M27, etc.
Then I got to thinking, I have observed the Messier Catalogue using 25X100 binos, but can it be done with 10X50s? I reckon that it might be possible, for many Messier's it will require very dark skies and a tripod for the binos.
Does anyone else thing it can be done?

Anyway, here's the sketch.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Real nice sketch, and yes 10X50's are great to have a scoot around the sky when we get a little window of opportunity.

It can be done alright, of course there wouls be a few challenging messier's but a lot of patience would be needed...go for it...
