...last night I was surprised I took lot of time to look at Vesta. I used a 300x magnification to see if it was possible to get a non star point, but indeed the focusing stays difficult for this.
But comparing with another real star, the difference was obvious. The real star boiled in almost all colors, while Vesta drifted in the eyepiece as a stable and smooth yellowish 'star' .
Vesta is travelling now at mag 6.5 through the Whale head.

Mag +6.5 eh? Sounds doable for my little Skylux to perhaps try some astrophotography if I get a windless, cloud-free, stable night over the weekend... not much to ask, is it?
