Observed Comet Yi-Swan last night just below Sadir in W of cassiopeia 40x100mm binos it appeared as a wispy object with a greenish tinge.

Good stuff Jonathan. Can you esitmate what magnitude roughly it appeared as? How large did it appear with the 40 X 100's?

Hi Seanie apologies for the time taken to replay i would estimate it around mag 8.5-9.0 it took averted vision to see it i tried to hunt for it last night but gave up as there was too much moisture in the air.

Thanks Jonathen, so even though it's apparent mag is decent for scopes, it's quite diffuse. Estimates are that it might get to borderline naked eye visibility from exceptionally clear sites.
