Hi all, seeing as I wasn't able to take photo's of the eclipse while on board ship, I did plan on making a few sketches instead. I was lucky enough to be next to a couple with a Coronado 60 Hydrogen Alpha scope and was able to look thru' it several times.
The first sketch was done at 10:10am (local time) about 8 mins after First Contact
Second sketch also before Totality, local time 10:49am
Last sketch was Post Totality, local time 11.55am
I really enjoyed doing these and only just finished them off last night - also did some basic pencil drawings up to Totality and may post them when finished if feeling brave.....

Great stuff Bernie! Not too often we see sketches of a solar eclipse!

Nicely done Bernie, and as Michael said, a nice change to seeing the same photographically. I like them!

Thank you guys, I'm not an artist by any standard but it was interesting to do and kept me busy for quite a while.....
