HUGE ERUPTIVE PROMINENCE TODAY! 29 August 2009.

Hi,

Lots of cloud in central UK but a small patch of blue sky has provided an
opportunity to view and image the huge solar prominence that is currently on
view today.

The first shows the eruptive 'part-loop' prominence stretching 9.6 Earth
diameters in height x 8.9 Earth diameters in width.
