You can submit data for any asteroid with numbers in the range 400 to 40000 to get an MPC code.
I used 2498, 4383 and 4735 using an 80mm refractor.
Surprised Gareth didn't tick you off about the telescope line being incorrect. Needs to be 0.25-m not 25 cm. They are very fussy about the little details in the format of submissions.
Your residuals are likely to be off purely due to timing errors with your PC.

Vagelis - the COD XXX at the start of the report means you are looking to obtain an observatory code. And as Gareth points out, NEO's are not the way to do that really. This page
www.cfa.harvard.edu//iau/info/Astrometry.html#HowObsCode
gives more detail on the procedure to follow. But you start off on bright well know objects usually no dimmer than mag 16. So yes, getting a code is not that hard.
If however, you don't want an observatory code or don't have a permanent setup, you can use the roving observer code 247 (instead of the XXX).
Cheers
Dave

Thanx!
Upon submittance I got an automated reply:
"FEEDBACK ON COMPLIANCE OF YOUR HEADER'S TEL LINE WITH THE DOCUMENTATION
Your submission contained the following TEL line:
TEL 25 cm SCT f/5.6 + CCD
This is what our processing software read or converted it to:
TEL 0.25-m f/5.6 Schmidt-Cassegrain + CCD
"
Anyway, next time I will use the proper format!
