Lunar eclipse actually visible! was created by Calibos
Just went outside to look at some light snowfall and saw the full moon through a gap in the clouds.
Remembered the partial lunar eclipse but was under the impression it was even more partial than the last one which was imperceptible. Well, very strangely this is plain as day so to speak. Bottom right ' corner' of the moon missing!

Unfortunatly I'm in work and posting on my iPhone so no binoculars for me. Will this still be visible at 8:30pm ?

Thanks for that - just had a gape through binos - very distinct - and bigger than I had expected.

Coincidently - its also a blue moon being the second full moon in a calendar month. It's an omen I tell ye - we're doomed captain Mannering...
