Lunar Eclipse 2009 Photo was created by JohnONeill
Hi,
Despite cloud on the eastern aspect of the sky, there was enough clear gaps coming and going (mostly going!) to catch a few images.
I have posted one of them onto my web page. See
homepage.eircom.net/~vsn/
In binoculars and naked-eye the small eclipses part appear dull, dark and colourless. However in a 25cm scope there was a warm border to the dark grey umbra.
Details are given there.
Did not feel too cold at first, but a different story after an hour!
John

John,
Conditions in Greece were similar were we had high cirrhus clouds with high humidity and very poor seeing. Just to give you an idea, the overhead planes were leaving behind them contrails which were visible across half the sky!
Anyway, your result is very good and a great way to end the year!
Anthony.

Hi Anthony,
I liked your montage. Was it taken with your AP or Taka?
happy new year and clear skies,
John
