Bagged a nice early morning fireball this morning (06:36am) in brightening twilight, high up and travelling SE-NW.

Hi Phil
Your really coming on with the meteor work, hope the new software / PC is working out for you.
You seemed to have also mysteriously captured a whale and its calf in mid air on the left hand side of the screen, it reminded of a scene from Hitch Hikers Guide to The Galaxy.
Clear skies

Yes, the new PC seems to be up to the job (it's a skip rescue) after hosing it out and repair.
The SonotoCo UFOCapture s/w also seems to be doing the business, though I need to continue tweaking the settings some - still getting a fair amount of cloud capture events. It also seems to be concatenating some captures into very large AVIs when it should be saving each capture to a separate AVI. I have set it up to email me whenever it records an event, including a .bmp and .jpg image of the movie, but I can't seem to get either of these two functions to work More twiddling, me thinks. The problem is that the capture PC is in a *VERY* cold and unheated room in the house - Phil no like going in there!
The whale and pot of petunias on the video are courtesy of the business end of an incontinent bird! I'll have to wait for the rain to clean it off, 'cos I'm sure not going to risk my life up on that roof again!!
